The kitchen emerged as an obvious choice as it is his place of refuge, and comfort zone. She also attended a degree in cooking at ESHTE, which complemented her training with work and began working in Japanese cuisine at the Midori Restaurant (Cesar Park Penha Longa), having been the first Portuguese woman to venture down these paths and the first to be certified by the All Japan Sushi Association.

She stopped by the Sushi Bar in Bica do Sapato, QB Essence, and immersed herself in her own project of Asian cuisine, Umai Asian twist and Izakaya do Umai. She has written a Sushi book and participates in various gastronomic events and food conferences.

In the field of healthy eating, she is Chief Consultant with projects such as Go Natural. Since 2009, she has been teaching World Cuisine and Dietetic Cuisine at the Estoril Higher School of Hospitality and Tourism. In 2022 she became Chief Executive responsible for Cateringpor's R&D department, developing products for airlines such as TAP, DELTA Airlines, Emirates.
