Ana is 27 years old and was born in Porto, but it is in Lamego that she lives from an early age.
From an early age I knew that the kitchen would become her refuge. Influenced by her mother, who is also an accomplished cook, in 2015 she started the Cooking and Pastry course at the School of Hospitality and Tourism in Lamego, having added a year and a half to this training, specifically in the area of Cooking. She went through several kitchens from the north to the south of the country and, despite having dropped her bags in Amarante for a few years, it was in Lamego that she returned and stayed until today.
In this world that is the kitchen, when discovering new flavors and techniques, he found his food intolerances, gluten and lactose. Since then, it has worked to show that even the most typical kitchen can be adapted. Basing its work on sustainability, reducing the use of plastic and waste as much as possible and respecting the local and seasonal.
Currently, he is Junior Sous Chef in the kitchen at Six Senses Douro Valley and in June last year, he won the Chef of the Year competition.
